Will 700x25 tubes work in 700x28 tires? - Bike Forums
WEBOct 7, 2012 · Old tubes will work great with 700x28. I even use the cheap $1.80 Nashbar 700x25 tube with Michelin City 700x32. No problemo. You may need the Brooks Flyer or equivalent to tame LA roads. The Nashbar Grand Vintage is a cheap knock-off of this Brooks. Works reasonably well for me. I paid $13 last week. Reply.

Found this Fuji at a yard sale and had to get it.The bike needs some help as in tires, tubes, chain, and some tuning, but cosmetics are in really good condition and all the original components are there except the seat is new. This is a 1990 Fuji Ace road bike.
700/25c ,Gaterskins or Schwalbe Marathons? Both cost the same

The Marathons are incredibly heavy (for what they are, relative to other tires), and the Gatorskins can lack traction in the wet. I've tried all 3, still use Gatorskins and Armadillos.

WEBMar 19, 2012 · I don't have a set of Schwalbe tires. I do have 700x25c on my Defy 3. I did an experiment last week. First I ran the tires at 85 psi, then at 120 psi, then at 115 psi. At 85 Psi the bike felt sluggish as all hell and required noticeably more effort to pedal, especially uphill. The ride was nice and supple.
