A few steps further leads you along the ancient Ala Kahakai Trail fronting our resort and beyond, to discover petroglyphs and heiaus dating back to pre-contact times along the rugged coastline, all without ever having to get in your car! When you do venture out with your vehicle, we are ideally located between Kailua-Kona and Hilo, making day trips to either side of the island's attractions easy, and dining in the two local communities of Naalehu or Pahala a breeze. We're also only a short half hour drive to Volcanoes National Park and its awesome eruption shows.
