Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin insists his side must remain focused on their league campaign after booking their place in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals. The Dons were dominant from the start, and when Pape Habib Gueye fired home the opener after 14 minutes, there was a feeling Thelin’s men could score as many as they wanted.

The 11-game unbeaten Reds scored four to dump Spartans out of the competition in the quarter-final showdown at Pittodrie, but Thelin has immediately switched his focus back to Premiership duties.

Goals from Pape Gueye, Kevin Nisbet, Leighton Clarkson and Ester Sokler secured Aberdeen's return to Hampden as they made light work of their League Two opponents at Pittodrie.
