Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant were in full flow on the third morning of the opening Test match against Bangladesh, with the two batters succeeding in bringing up their respective centuries after coming into bat having remained not-out overnight.

Sachin Tendulkar commended Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill for their stellar performances in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. Gill scored an unbeaten 119, while Pant hit a commendable knock of 109 runs.

While the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma had big praise for all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, his Bangladesh counterpart Najmul Hossain Shanto believes the performance of the pacers was a silver lining for the visitors.
