Thomas Tuchel is ‘open’ to taking over at Manchester United if the Premier League giants decide to sack struggling manager Erik ten Hag. It appears as though Ten Hag’s future will be decided one way or another on Tuesday when United chiefs gather in London to assess the club’s start to the season.

Ten Hag is expecting to still be in charge on the other side of this current international break, insisting on Sunday that he retains the backing of senior United officials. The report states Tuchel has not received "any formal communication" from United about the prospect of becoming their new boss.
