President Donald Trump, bowing to days of pressure, asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to get grand jury testimony about Jeffrey Epstein unsealed.

WASHINGTON, July 18 (Reuters) - Donald Trump's aides were expected on Friday to ask a court to release grand jury testimony about Jeffrey Epstein, as the president fought back against concerns over his administration's handling of the deceased convicted sex offender's case.

He also threatened to sue the WSJ over a report alleging he sent a 'bawdy' birthday letter to the late sex offender in 2003.

The government will have to meet a high legal bar for the court to agree that any of the grand jury documents should be released—and those materials could still be disappointing.
