A Flagler County deputy used his vehicle to hit a man riding a bike after the fleeing bicyclist allegedly pulled out a gun.

A 38-year-old man faces charges after he pulled out a gun while being pursued by a deputy in Flagler County late Saturday evening, according to a news release.

One man is behind bars after deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said he pulled a gun on an officer during a patrol.

Michael McDermott was arrested for assault or battery on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and eluding, resisting an officer with violence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested after pulling a gun on a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Dec. 5.
