Jack Quaid is happy he can now say how he really feels about his Companion character, calling him even more "insecure" than Scream 's Richie. The critically-acclaimed new horror sci-fi sees Quaid play Josh who, along with his "companion" robot Iris ( Sophie Thatcher ), goes on a weekend trip with friends which goes horribly wrong.

Set to release on Jan. 31, “Companion” follows Iris, a socially anxious young woman played by Sophie Thatcher, who believes she’s organically fallen in love with Josh, portrayed by Jack Quaid. However, her seemingly idyllic relationship unravels when she learns the truth: she’s an AI robot designed to meet his every desire.
