The big bird has landed! Taylor Pendrith did the unthinkable on Sunday at The Sentry: he made an albatross on the par-5 5th, holing out from 203 yards away. It’s the first time a PGA Tour player made a double-eagle at Kapalua,

It's the first albatross on tour in 2025, and it boosted Pendrith from 17 under to 20 under for the tournament. He added a birdie on 8, and as of current writing, he's playing No. 12 and tied for fourth place—well behind Hideki Matsuyama—but set up for a nice payday nonetheless, and gaining three strokes on a single hole certainly helped his cause.

It was barely caught on camera, but Taylor Pendrith made history early in the final round of the PGA Tour's season opener.
