With the Michigan Wolverines claiming the 2025 Big Ten Tournament Championship, head coach Dusty May made conference history.

A remarkable turnaround in Year 1 of Dusty May’s tenure led to Michigan putting an end to its two-year absence in March Madness with a Big Ten tournament title and making the 68-team field as the No. 5 seed in the South Region, where it will face No. 12 seed UC-San Diego on Thursday in Denver.

Michigan State will open the NCAA Tournament not too far from home. The Spartans (27-6) landed a No. 2 seed in the South Region and will face Bryant (23-11) in a first-round game on Thursday at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. The winner will advance to face either No. 7 Marquette or No. 10 New Mexico on Sunday.
