Eli Lilly ( LLY -6.59%) is the most valuable healthcare stock in the world, with a market capitalization of around $720 billion. For a while, it looked like it might be on track to be the first healthcare company to top a $1 trillion valuation, perhaps as early as this year.

Eli Lilly’s expectations for sales in the fourth quarter of last year missed forecasts, driven by lower-than-expected sales of its diabetes and obesity drugs.

Heading into fiscal 2025, CEO David Ricks said the company expects sales of weight-loss drugs will continue growing, and noted that it expects "to produce at least 60% more salable doses" of the drugs over the first half of this year compared to 2024.
