A major winter storm blanketed the D.C. region with snow Sunday night into Monday morning. Another round of precipitation – a wintry mix of including snow, sleet and freezing rain – is on the way for Monday afternoon.

Maryland residents were urged to stay off the roads Monday as a winter storm hit the area, bringing snow and ice accumulation along with freezing temperatures. Charlie Gischlar with the State Highway Administration shared tips for those who have to drive.
