Oettinger makes 31 saves, Ehlers scores lone goal for Winnipeg in Game 4 The Winnipeg Jets road losing streak in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs has reached five games as they fell 3-1 to the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.
The 26-year-old Oettinger, meanwhile, is one Stars win away from sealing a pretty strong case as the US starter. He’s got a 6-4 record thus far in the playoffs, has led Dallas to a pair of crucial road wins and has only had one “bad” game out of 10 starts, a 7-4 loss in Game 6 to the Avalanche.
The Winnipeg Jets are among the favorites of a crowded field to win the Stanley Cup this year, which would be a first for the team that joined the NHL in 2011.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman watched firsthand when the Winnipeg Jets defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in double overtime in Game 7 of the Western Conference First Round and put that magical game in historic perspective.
Mikael Granlund netted his first career playoff hat trick to pace Dallas to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday, leaving the Stars one win away from advancing to the final four of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Carolina Hurricanes took a 3-1 series lead against the Washington Capitals after coming away with a 5-2 win in Game 4 on Monday. A similar scenario played out in the Western Conference as the Edmonton Oilers also gained a 3-1 series lead thanks to a 3-0 win versus the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4.
As the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs continue to unfold, the odds of a Canadian team winning it all seem to get better and better.
