The rookie had gone 3-16 this season in the majors before Tuesday’s game. Dominguez stepped up to the plate in the top of the fifth inning with the Yankees on top 6-1. He got into a full count before sending a ball 414 feet to centerfield. Dominguez’s homer was his first of the season, as well as a bright spot in the outfielder’s recent play.
