The Detroit Tigers could be on the market for an additional ace alongside reigning American League Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal.

ESPN's David Schoenfield thinks the Mets have enough of a farm system to at least give themselves a chance. He pitches a five-player offer from the Mets to the Pirates: Jett Williams, Jonah Tong, Nolan McLean, Ronny Mauricio and Carson Benge. Pittsburgh doesn't seem like it'll be in a rush to move Skenes, even in the midst of another brutal season.
