Players, as you'd expect, haven't responded well to their enemies enjoying Activision-sanctioned wallhacks. As our Morgan Park wrote in his own call for Recon's justified nerfing, "people are literally respawning, aiming at the head of someone they can see through a wall from their spawn point, and getting a completely unfair kill."

Spawning has been a major issue players have been complaining about, like with many Call of Duty games. With the update, Treyarch says it has tuned the logic to improve the system to make the start of each life safer. The studio says it will continue to tweak the system as more data arrives from players.

Black Ops 6 features a tighter map design in multiplayer that helps to emphasize the new Omni-movement system of this year's Call of Duty game, and with smaller arenas, the Recon-three perk provides a significant advantage to players who take advantage of it.
