The final participant in this year's Home Run Derby was announced Thursday evening, and the New York Yankees will officially have a player partaking in the event. Jazz Chisholm Jr. was revealed Thursday night as the eighth participant in the derby,
Atlanta's own Ronald Acuña Jr. will represent the Braves and look to take home the chain in front of a home crowd. Though Acuña didn't make his season debut until late May, he's been on fire since returning to the field and is now up to 11 home runs, 20 RBI and a .336 batting average in 41 games.
The High School Home Run Derby is back for its 12th rendition and will once again provide a jolt of power to the lineup of electric All-Star-related events. Prep sluggers have taken their best hacks over the years.
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Athletics slugger Brent Rooker is adding his name to the list of Home Run Derby participants. Rooker announced Thursday that he’s participating in the event, which takes place Monday in Atlanta. He will become the first Athletics player in the Home Run Derby since Matt Olson in 2021.

Athletics slugger Brent Rooker became the latest entrant in the forthcoming Home Run Derby on Thursday. Just one spot remains vacant in the eight-player field. Rooker, 30, has hit .270/.346/.489 (130 OPS+) with 19 home runs in his first 94 games this season.
Fittingly, it was none other than Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. who was named as the first entrant into the 2025 T-Mobile Home Run Derby, as he’ll be swinging for the fences in front of his home fans when Truist Park hosts the Derby on July 14.
The most-awaited event of MLB's All-Star Week, the Home Run Derby will take place at Truist Field, home of the Atlanta Braves, in 2025.
