Gaza A high-level Hamas delegation has held talks with Egyptian officials in Cairo, and met about 70 Palestinian detainees freed by Israel and sent into exile as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal, sources told The National on Tuesday.

As part of the agreed hostage-prisoner exchange deal, Israel released 200 terrorist prisoners on Saturday, according to Arab media reports.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also announced they were sending delegations to Cairo for the same purpose.
