The survey was carried out weeks after the country’s constitutional court annulled a first round vote in which the far right candidate came first, saying he likely benefited from an illegal campaign co-ordinated by Moscow.

Romania will hold a repeat of last year’s contested presidential election on May 4, months after the country’s top court annulled the ballot over allegations of Russian meddling.
