Wednesday's ceremony featured a performance from San Diego's Marine Corps Band and a keynote address from Col. Sean P. Dynan, the assistant division commander of the 1st Marine Division.

Last night, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band performed on the National Mall as part of the 100th National Christmas Tree Lighting.

The Marine Corps band from MCRD is comprised of roughly 50 band members, some of whom identify as LGBTQ. Clay Kilpatrick is the chair of the San Diego Pride's military department.
