The Houston Texans have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Anthony Averett, according to Texans insider Aaron Wilson. Averett was on the Steelers' practice squad for much of the season, but injuries continued to haunt him. Eventually, he was granted his release off the practice squad injured reserve, and now the Texans have signed him.
