A new episode of “Abbott Elementary” season 4 will air on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The new episode will air at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Those without cable can watch the show for free through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream each offering a free trial to new users. The hit sitcom continues its winning streak with a fifth-season pickup, following record-breaking ratings and critical acclaim.

Created by and starring Quinta Brunson, the show has been renewed for its fifth season. Set against the backdrop of Philadelphia’s public school system, “Abbott Elementary” draws inspiration from Brunson’s mother’s experience in the city’s educational landscape.
