Trump said the U.S. will impose an additional 10% tariff on any countries aligning themselves with the "Anti-American policies" of the BRICS group of developing nations, whose leaders kicked off a summit in Brazil.

The rest of the latest tariff list is not part of the BRICS grouping, such as Myanmar (40 percent), Cambodia (36 percent), and Thailand (36 percent). Trump also sent a letter to Japan and Malaysia, saying the two countries could face a 25 percent import duty starting next month. Both recorded a percentage point increase compared to earlier threats.
