One police officer was wounded after at least two people shot at officers outside an immigration detention center in Texas, according to a criminal complaint in federal court.

The Federal Detention Center in Honolulu is one of three that have been approved to house immigrant detainees — including a jail in New York City known for violent and poor conditions that has held high profile individuals such as Ghislaine Maxwell and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The Department of Justice filed a criminal complaint on Monday against 10 people who allegedly "organized an ambush" at an ICE detention center in Texas on the Fourth of July.
