Two months’ worth of rain fell in central North Carolina on Sunday. Chantal will bring areas of heavy rain to Virginia, Southern Maryland and Delaware on Monday.

Rounds of heavy rain and strong winds may arrive Saturday for North Carolina Beaches from Wrightsville Beach to Oak Island.
