Hwang Dong-hyuk intends for his TV show Squid Game to end after three seasons, but the TV creator might give the “green light” to spinoffs of the Netflix hit.

Squid Game Season 2 has left fans brimming with questions on what lies ahead for protagonist Gi-hun, as well as the probable twists and new games lined up in the final chapter of the series.

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has teased a potential release date for the hit Netflix thriller’s third and final season.

The inaugural Season of Squid Game came out on Netflix on September 17, 2021, and has nine episodes. It was a massive hit at the time and became a cultural phenomenon globally. The series returned with Season 2 on December 26,

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Hwang allowed that Squid Game ‘s final third will focus on the two characters you’d most expect: Gi-hun, of course, as well as Lee Byung-hun’s Front Man. The latter slithered his way into the game as Player 001 and at times almost seemed to be sympathetic to Gi-hun’s desire to tear down the competition once and for all.
