Having already made one big midseason acquisition in recent weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers may be ready to call it a day. Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported

The Brooklyn Nets, who are in the midst of a rebuilding process, have already made trades with the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers -- two teams led by future Hall of Famers hoping to make one last run at the NBA Finals.

The chances of the Lakers making the type of big trade that would make them contenders or near-contenders any time soon may be slim.

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to make a move before the Feb. 6 NBA trade deadline, although one reported possibility is not a likely option.
