School closings and delays are coming in across the Pittsburgh area with another day of below-freezing temperatures in the forecast.

Most school districts in central Ohio have canceled classes Wednesday due to the extremely cold temperatures. An Arctic front made its way to central Ohio on Monday, bringing with it the coldest air that central Ohio has felt in more than two years.

Due to the continued low temperatures, many schools around East Tennessee are closed or delayed on Wednesday, Jan 22. The temperatures are expected to be "dangerously cold" and well below 20 degrees across East Tennessee on Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. A cold weather advisory is in effect through 10 a.m.

Dozens of school closings and delays have been announced across western Pennsylvania with sub-zero temperatures forecasted for Wednesday. A cold weather advisory is in place for most of the area until 1 p.

Some schools announced delayed openings and cancellations Tuesday.

Schools in southeast Texas are making plans to close school on Monday and Tuesday in preparation for the winter storm.
