Shane Wright scored a pair of goals for the Seattle Kraken as they rallied from a two-goal deficit to the Red Wings in the third period to force overtime, but Patrick Kane's NHL record-setting goal in the shootout gave Detroit a 5-4 win.

Seider regained a 2-1 lead for the Red Wings with a power-play goal at 19:30. Alex DeBrincat won a face-off back to Seider, who walked across the blue line and snapped a shot through a screen and past Daccord’s glove.

Patrick Kane’s NHL record-setting shootout goal Tuesday lifted the Red Wings to a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. It was Kane’s 53rd career shootout goal, moving him past former Chicago teammate Jonathan Toews for the most in league history.

The thought of the Red Wings going on a seven-game winning streak earlier this season might have been a bit unbelievable. The idea of the Wings putting two such win streaks together in a span of 20 games would have been laughed out of reality.
