A professional footballer who caused the death of a cyclist as he drove out at a junction has been jailed for 14 months.

Lucas Akins has been sentenced to 14 months behind bars following the incident, in March 2022, which caused the death of 33-year-old Adrian Daniel, who succumbed to his injuries.
