The Battle of L.A. continues on Sunday when the Los Angeles Lakers face the Los Angeles Clippers at the new Intuit Dome. Los Angeles basketball franchises are now cross-town rivals, with the Clippers moving into their new state-of-the-art arena in Inglewood this season.

For the last few seasons, the Lakers have said that in order for them to be at their best, they have to work through Davis. It was true when they won the championship in 2020 and was proven even more when injuries plagued Davis for three seasons and the team faltered greatly because of it.

Anthony Davis was a late scratch against the Nets on Friday night because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot. It marked his third missed game of the season.
