BEIRUT (Reuters) - A Lebanese military court has charged leading Christian politician Samir Geagea over deadly clashes in Beirut last October, a judicial source said on Thursday.
Samir Geagea-- leader of the Lebanese Forces party -- is once again in the limelight as he was summoned to a military court following armed clashes that occurred in Beirut in mid-October.
Geagea, a former warlord, was imprisoned after Lebanon's 1975-90 civil war and released in 2005 following the withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon after three decades of occupation.
