The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says just after 2 p.m., deputies in Yerington were dispatched to Fourth Avenue in Mason on a report of two males fighting, one of which was armed.

Bridge City and Vidor High School were both attending the band competition. However, Vidor High school had reportedly left for dinner just prior to the shooting.
