Mark Lifman will be removed as Accused No 1 on the indictment in the murder of ‘Steroid King’ Brian Wainstein. While the case against the remaining accused will proceed, Lifman’s murder could cause delays and challenges for the prosecution.

The mammoth underworld trial is set to return to the Western Cape High Court on Monday, where Lifman’s death certificate is expected to be handed to Judge Vincent Saldanha. Lifman was killed outside Garden Route Mall on Sunday, where he was allegedly shot five times.

NATIONAL NEWS - George Herald received reports that two suspects who were allegedly involved in the hit on Mark Lifman (57), were arrested near Uniondale earlier this afternoon, Sunday 3 November. More information about the arrests is awaited from the police.
