After several months of treatment and care with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Lavender the dog is on the mend.

Some animal shelters in Massachusetts will be waiving fees for some of their cats and dogs they're currently caring for. The MSPCA and Berkshire Humane Society are among them.
