A U-Haul crashed into a tanker operated by a Massachusetts man shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday on I-95 south in Scarborough, Maine State Police said.

A man driving a U-Haul caused a serious chain reaction crash that shut the Maine Turnpike in Scarborough Friday night, police said. The U-Haul’s driver was trapped inside the vehicle after it collided with a tanker truck on I-95;

Multiple vehicles were involved in at least one crash near mile marker 39, a dispatcher said shortly before 7 p.m.
