The halo series made me give up hope that any tv adaptation of a video game would feel like it was made for people who actually played the games. Then I watched Amazon’s Fallout series, and it was so clearly made for the gamers by people who understand the games.

May 26, 2022 · They absolutely bastardised Halo, no in fact there's no halo here except for a slight similar visual aesthetic. This is a generic sci-fi show with a halo skin. Just goes to show how little effort companies have to put into making a show of a beloved franchise.

It gets the respect that much better games deserve, because mediocre people are LOUD. The story has been absolute shit since the beginning. It would have been far more surprising if the series had been really good.

Coming from N64 GoldenEye/Perfect Dark to Halo on Xbox was pretty neat. If it's not your cup of tea that's cool too. But I had plenty of fun filled nights with it playing 4 player split screen or getting LAN parties going. Halo 2 was alright and was more of the same, Halo 3 and onwards lost me personally but that's cool too.

So I started watching a few weeks back only got to the 2nd episode and I remember there being subtitles for those scenes. Got caught up in another show for a few weeks and then can back to Halo this week and no subtitles. There was an update to the so back on the 6th so I think they have introduced a bug.
