Oct 12, 2010 · I stopped at page 20 and I don't think anyone had mentioned Tell Sackett's bowie and toothpick in the "The Sacketts". One of my favorite movie scenes of all times is where Tell throws they guy on the bar and shaves his mustache with his Arkansas Toothpick!

Mar 4, 2010 · Yup, the fellow who tried to knife "Tell Sackett" (Sam Elliot) in the stable had an Arkansas Toothpick for sure. Tell Sackett was carrying a big ol' bohunker of a bowie. I know, 'cause this thread got me to thinkin'. I re-watched both The Sacketts and The Quick and the Dead a couple of days ago.

Mar 10, 2014 · My guess would be a 12-14 inch blade. If you know his height then you could compare the knife to him and work out an estimate. Mike Mann, Idaho Knife Works, did a version of the "Sackett Bowie". If you scroll down there is a pic of it : That sheath reminds me of a Western Bowie. I'd like to take a crack at this interesting challenge.
